Embarassed Took me a day longer than I thought to get new pictures of the puppies on my website, but they are up there now. Check the Available Page. Pups eyes are still not open but at least you can see head shape, body size, a tail on some, also some poop stains. Why is it every time one starts to take pictures of puppies they poop every place.. Got Mike this time... LOL>>. Enjoy the pictures.. deb

See the post from Debbie on the forum links. Debbie is recovering from heart attack(s) and back at home after surgery and doing well, but needs rest. She apologizes for not getting new puppy pics up and will get pics up in the near future. Get well Debbie! Peggy

Everyone, It has been awhile since I have posted on here, but you all have heard the news. First a big THANK YOU TO PEGGY, for my last message and posting on here for me. Still under the weather a lot, but I did get my new pictures of the puppies posted just awhile ago. They are still quite green at the table work, and need to start leash training, but I havent done this due to the heat, more for my benefit then the pups. They are going to have their first set of shots next week and seem to be doing fine. We are eating everything we see, and learning the litter box routine quite well. We are now registered with AKC and have our names.

For the time being we are taking it easy and teaching the pups slowly and enjoying them. Hope you all enjoy the pictures, I hope to post more picts later on, I still have some work that needs done and they are talking about classes on heart education and excercise. Meds are a pain in the butt, but they tell me they are necessary. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers on the other post. They do help. deb

Deb - Amen to being on the mend! You made many of us take a hard look at things - I know I did. Good luck with the babies. We have a baby Mabelline who will be keeping us busy over the next few months.

Thanks guys, wish I was totally back to normal, what ever that may be. This really knocked the wind out of my sails, poor dogs are not getting as much activity as they should. I can only lift a gallon of milk, an most of them are bigger than that, okay except the pups. Peggy hope this experience makes you girls think, as I told you my blood pressure was way normal, cholesterol was normal and triglycerides was way good. LDL was 35 points high and HDL was 5 points low, women should be 50 now and I was 45. EKG showed no problem. I was lucky an took an old EKG from my shoulder surgery in Jan. which showed I had had heart problems. Marietta did not pick it up. I also had a doctor from Atlanta GA and one from DC visiting our hospital to see about improving our heart trama unit. They both ordered a heart enzyme blood work up and that showed the heart attack. That is when they realized that Marietta could not handle the problem and I was sent to Riverside in Columbus OH. Team waiting to fix things and now the slow recovery begins with more tests and a couple more procedures.

Advise to all woman, dont ignore the signs however light, and think they will go away. After 5 minutes get to a hospital or call the squad. I waited way to long, as I thought it was heartburn and just being tired from going to Pittsburgh that day. If you have any chest discomfort, numbness in the arms or pain in the jaw, neck or mid back this could be a heart attack. You may become dizzy when standing, nauseous, and the pain can come an go, I had these as well as chest pain and numbness in the arm. For anyone that lives near Ohio, in a small town consider Riverside Hospital in Columbus OH, they know their stuff and have a great staff. Hope you all the best and that you never have to go though this whether you are a woman or a man.

Now, one last dog to clip, since I can not stand for long periods, or take the heat, all of my dogs except the puppies are now being clipped with clippers instead of hand stripped. Wow do they look different, but they are cooler in this heat, and what use to take me forever is now done in an hour from head to toe. deb

Scarey stuff Deb. I am glad you are doing better and pray that you wil have full recovery soon.

I'm hearing about more young women (40 to 50) having heart attacks. Makes me remember to take my blood pressure meds.

Deb,

I am SOOOO glad you are alive and okay. That is really frightening. One of my brothers had a heart attack in his 30s. It was completely unexpected. One never really knows.

Deb, sooooo glad you are slowly on the mend. Take care of yourself and take lots of time to regroup. I'm having repair cataract work done in the am - I'm retiring end of Sept. so need to get all things fixed. Yes, you did give many of us a wake up call. Thanks for sharing and we are all with you on your recovery. Hey, if you aren't showing the doggiers - clip them and everyone is happy - I know mine are!

Peg, You or Keith keep us posted on how your cataract surgery goes. I will be thinking of you today. I do understand about getting everything done before the retirement comes up, I hope I can get everything done that needs done before the end of the year. I hate working off all that money at the first of each year...

Fancy was the last to get her clipping done yesterday and boy was she not happy about it at all. But like the rest she has been running and playing more without getting so tired. The doctors said no more running around a show ring for quite some time, so everyone got clipped. I even had some jumping to get it done. I did most of them in the kennels because of the hair blowing, and after finishing one, would say okay who is next, and I had three girls jumping to get on the table. Stood perfectly still the whole time.. It also looks as if I will be letting some more of my breeding dogs go, as I dont feel it is good to keep them when I cant work them, I do have three in mind so if anyone knows anyone who would like to adopt one please contact me. Time to go check the dogs before the heat gets any worse. deb
